Our Gutter Cleaning Process

There are three options when it comes to getting your gutters cleaned:

1) You can do it yourself. Gutter cleaning is simple in theory, but difficult/frustrating/exhausting/tedious/dangerous/boring in practice. You generally have to get your ladder out, climb it, remove a small patch of debris, climb down the ladder, and repeat. This can go on for hours and hours. You might end up going up and down the ladder 25 times or more! And what if you fall just 1 of those 25 times? It wouldn’t be a good outcome.

2) You can hire someone to do it for cheap. This may sound like a good option, but you definitely don’t want to be held liable for someone falling on your property and getting seriously injured. This option also includes hiring someone that is not licensed or insured. They are able to keep their cost so low because they don’t have the insurance premiums to pay like the better companies. However, they can absolutely make a claim on your home insurance policy, and you don’t want to deal with the headache of that entire legal process.

3) You can hire a professional, licensed, and insured company like The Clear Difference that cleans gutters safely. We’re a little biased, but we think this is your best option.

In this article, we’ll talk a little more about our service. Here are the three key characteristics that we want you to know about:

We stay on the ground.

Unlike most companies, we choose to invest in the latest gutter cleaning equipment as opposed to using dangerous ladders. Ladders are simply not necessary any more, as powerful vacuums and poles are capable of sucking all of the leaves and debris out of gutters. This is true even for third story gutters! These vacuums are crazy expensive (trust us), or else we would simply recommend you buy them yourself.

Our equipment allowing us to stay on the ground protects everything that a ladder puts into danger. For example, our equipment protects you, because we have practically zero chance of getting injured on your property. Our equipment protects your home, as ladders damage the roof and sides of your home very easily. And lastly, our equipment protects our employees from being hurt from a ladder fall.

We suck the debris out – we don’t blow it on your property.

Believe it or not, many companies simply get on the roof and blow the debris out of gutters. Imagine the mess that would occur if there was mud or any wet debris in there. Your driveway, cars, plants, and house would be in danger of getting extremely dirty.  Or even worse, some companies use a power washer attachment, making even harmless leaves soaking wet and heading to make the roof and side of your home dirty.

On the other hand, The Clear Difference uses powerful vacuums and poles to make sure we pick up the debris and dispose of it properly (NOT all over your property like the other guys). This ensures that any wet grime won’t damage your roof or walls. It simply reduces the possibility of something going wrong.

We make sure your downspouts flush properly.

It blows us away that some companies clean the gutters and then just assume the downspout is flushing properly. That’s not always the case. We always make sure that the gutters flow properly all the way down the downspout and away from the home’s foundation. We do this by feeding a garden hose up the downspouts to clear any blockage. If that doesn’t work, we get out our plumber’s snake and remove any built up debris.
